Idealprint owner operator Vicky Newman took over Idealprint with her husband Clive in 2018.  Since then the business has grown and evolved, moving into a much bigger premise at 45 Northumberland St in 2022 , they added to their services as agents for NZ Post and stocking art and crafts from a variety of local artisans, becoming more than just a print shop.

Design & Print still drives the business with their flagship publication The Blue Mountain Express still being published weekly and distributed to 1000 households in the West Otago area.  The Vintage Scene magazine is also produced right here in Tapanui four times a year and Idealprint is the go to for locals for a huge variety of jobs from farming catalogues to printable wall art.
